Covid-19 Safety Information
We can't wait to welcome you back to the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre. The joy of coming to see a live performance is in sharing that experience with those around you, and we cannot wait for you to feel that buzz and excitement with us again.
We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that our audiences, visiting companies and staff can feel safe and confident when they are attending the theatre. For your peace of mind, we have listed below the measures we will be keeping in place so we can all keep safe as we continue to enjoy live performances.

Booking Your Tickets
- Please book your tickets online, wherever possible
- If you can't book online please call the Box Office on 0113 220 8008, but be aware this may take longer
- Please choose to receive your tickets as e-tickets, wherever possible
Planning Your Visit
- Please print your tickets at home or download them on your mobile phone
- We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to arrive as latecomers may not be admitted
- If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 on the day of the show please do not attend – if this happens please contact the Box Office as soon as you can before the show*
At The Theatre
- The use of facemasks inside the building is optional for audience members
- Hand sanitisers are available around the building to be used at your convenience
- Where possible, please bring as few belongings as possible to help maintain an open space throughout the building, allowing people to keep their distance. We are still able to accommodate prams for our children’s performances, so you can be sure of the same welcoming experience
- Please be aware that our performances will be open at full capacity so you will be sitting directly next to other people
- Refreshments will be available from our café bar, and you are welcome to consume these in the foyer or bring drinks into the auditorium
To Keep You Safe, We're...
- Limiting contact wherever possible
- Carrying out enhanced cleaning before and after performances, and operating a more frequent ongoing cleaning schedule
*Refunds
If a performance is cancelled due to staff and/or performers having to isolate a refund will be offered to all booked ticket holders.
If you are unable to attend due to experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, a positive test result or as a result of isolating we will endeavour to:
- Rearrange for an alternative performance; or
- Provide alternative tickets for a similar event within the theatre; or
- Provide a full refund at the discretion of theatre staff
