Ballet Black | Triple Bill featuring Red Riding Hood

Ballet Black
All tickets £17.50
Fri 17 & Sat 18 November 2017
Show Overview

Returning to Leeds for the sixth year running, Ballet Black presents their latest mixed bill.

Artistic Director Cassa Pancho’s international company of dancers perform bold choreography, in three specially created pieces.

Captured displays the fiery emotion of Martin Lawrance’s edgy choreography set to a Shostakovich string quartet. Dopamine (you make my levels go silly) is a beautiful pas de deux about love, lust and passion by French choreographer Ludovic Ondiviela, with an original score created by acclaimed British composer Fabio D’Andrea.

The evening concludes with South Bank Award winner Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Red Riding Hood, a narrative piece that turns the popular fairytale on its head with a surprising twist.

From the dedicated ballet fan to those new to dance, Ballet Black promises something for everyone.

Red Riding Hood is co-commissioned by the Barbican.

Not suitable for those under 7 years due to adult themes.
